CBS Announce a New Collaboration with Queensland Health

13 December 2019

Queensland Health and CBS - Health Costing Experts announce a new collaboration to enhance clinical costing by implementing CostPro and IntelPlus - CBS’s patient costing and business intelligence tools.

After a comprehensive international market scan, and a subsequent Invitation to Offer (ITO), CBS was selected as the preferred supplier. The partnership allows Queensland Health to modernise their current clinical costing practices.

Through implementing CostPro and IntelPlus, Queensland Health will be decommissioning the legacy Transition (TII) application and enabling near real-time data and costing accuracy. This will enable Queensland Health and the Hospital and Health Services (HHS) to:

• Integrate patient costing information into other business units and enhance clinical reporting across the state;

• Provide greater awareness of efficiency opportunities;

• Empower strategic decision makers, who will be better equipped to make decisions regarding the most appropriate allocation of time, human and capital resources.

“CBS is proud and excited to be working with Queensland Health and keen to strategically position CBS as the leading Australian provider in this domain” says CBS CE Ross Wilson. “With significant experience across New Zealand, a recently announced partnership with Abu Dhabi Health Services and an expanding Australian operation, CBS is well positioned to achieve this strategic goal and to further invest in the development of our decision support systems CostPro and IntelPlus”

Work has commenced with Queensland Health, with the first sites planned for implementation being across metropolitan, regional and rural hospitals.
