Managers from CBS - Health Costing Experts, Darryl Groufsky and Paul Taumanu took part in the inaugural Health Finance Management Association (HFMA) conference in Canberra last week. As corporate sponsors of HFMA, these conferences are regular events on the CBS calendar, so it was exciting to attend the first one for the Australian Capital Territory.

The focus for the one-day event was “Building sustainable health systems: opportunities and challenges” and featured presentations from guests from various health organisations such as ACT Health, NT Health, NSW Health, Southern NSW Local Health District, Canberra Health Services, National Health Funding Body, and TAS Health. Darryl and Paul gleaned information from topics such as Activity Based Funding, Activity Based Management and Revenue Management.
